Important Notice - The ALPMC-CI specialization program in Popular Music - Guitar, is classified as tertiary education. This type of education and training at a non-degree level is sometimes referred to as further education or continuing education as distinct from higher education. Further education is the English term given to any education after secondary school (i.e., after completion of high school) that is not an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, but it is usually accredited Continuing Education to obtain professional-based credits (CEUs) with a qualification (a Professional Certificate or Diploma that may be an ‘exit’ qualification or not), eligible to academic credit conversion at some extent, for which units/modules or the whole program was accredited by national authorities (academic and/or professional). It is usually certified non-university postsecondary training for preparing the trainee to work in a specific job. However, the Academy awards a (post)Graduate level qualification in Popular Music – Guitar (initial: PgALPMC-CI), because the organization is academically authorized, and possess the required professional authority on the specific musical field for the Specialization. It is Not a masters degree but carries automatic postgraduate continuing education credits for the units/modules approved, eligible to 10 ECTS academic credits (at undergraduate level for the 'exit' vocational qualification, or for the Specialization degree in Popular Music - Guitar, with chordophone options (vocational postgraduate)) for the 2 guitar concentrations (40 hours x2 concentrations at each level/stage – classic or acoustic guitar & jazz or electric guitar) and the theory/composition components (28 hours x2 at each level/stage, arranging and composing for the 2 guitar concentrations) which may be used as part of master’s studies in music. 272 hours total for academic credit conversion are eligible and normally guaranteed, plus continuing education credits for the other qualification requirements.

THE FREE PMC ACADEMY REVIEW (6 Peers for resume review and academic feedback in the 7 Scientific Societies of Journals and the Developmentalist Laboratory for Music)
ACADEMICS and highly regarded PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS have agreed to provide feedback on a voluntary basis (like most journals of other organizations) for practitioner research papers that are produced for abstract publication in our 7 (Seven) Practitioner-type Music and Education through Music Journals. They will send a blind review for topics of submitted papers to our fellowship programme (advanced training/research). But before they are consulted the paper must pass the editor's musical orientation and editorial guidelines. Only high-quality practitioner-type papers of music performance analysis or music education evaluation will be passed to 1 member of this Editorial academical board, and, if the feedback is positive, the abstract publication will be considered in the appropriate official journal and the subsequent award of fellow by the 7 scientific societies of music journals (i.e. 7 practitioner-type journals with 16 ISSN and eISSN editions each year).
Our Rules for Article Revision:
Opinion and comment articles/commentary columns, editorials and reports and also practitioner music essays may be reviewed only by the editor. But if we receive the exceptional Fellowship Practitioner Essay the paper will be sent (this is subject to a previous editor's revision for quality control and to check viability and make minor amendments) to 1 member of the ALPMC-CI Review as a partial peer-revision of blind type. This is an approach to boost the credibility of practitioner articles/reviews up to the same status/level of academic peer-revision. Editorial review is an assessment of an article undertaken by a member of the editorial staff, which is the ALPMC-CI Review. On the other hand, for some sections of a journal, editorial reviews may be the only assessment taken of an article. We do not use the academic peer-revision just because it is not the scope of our practitioner music subjects and themes, and instrumental music topics.
